Science is integrated into classroom programmes where possible and taught explicitly in termly Science units.
At Glenavon school we follow the New Zealand science curriculum and teach topics that are localised and specific to students interests.
We have partnered with House of Science who provide our school with rich, hands on science experiments, units of work and learning.
Our Awa and Moana syndicates also learn science through play, which encourages rich conversations, discovery and unlocks an interest in science from a young age.
